Takashi “Taka” Sekiguchi is President and CEO of Shimizu North America, leading the organization’s strategy, growth, and operations.

Before becoming president, Taka played a key role in expanding and strengthening SNA’s process EPC business in the US. His leadership and commitment to operational excellence were instrumental in establishing a strong foundation and driving growth.

Earlier in his career, he held roles as Site Engineer, Project Manager, and General Manager of Process EPC. Over the course of two decades, he has managed complex industrial and process projects across the globe, including in India, China, Thailand, Japan, and the United States. This international experience has given him a deep technical background and understanding of global project execution. Because he knows the intricate details of his projects at a very early stage, he feels great pride and fulfillment in each achievement.

Taka is passionate about developing people and ensuring the company continues to deliver safe and high-quality results. He hopes to drive continuous improvement while investing in our colleagues’ growth.

Taka earned his Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from Yokohama National University. When he is not leading our teams, you can find Taka volunteering at local schools or enjoying a book.
