Overview
To create this graceful 27 – story building on Manhattan’s prestigious Madison Avenue, Shimizu North America constructed a tower atop an existing 8-story building. The challenge was to complete the project without disturbing the operation of a bank housed within. Shimizu North America’s ingenious engineers devised a system of lightweight trusses that adds a green-glassed silhouette to the skyline surrounding fabled Central Park.
