As Human Resources Director, Stephen leads the company’s HR initiatives to recruit top talent while strengthening the organizational structure and increasing employee engagement. With more than 15 years of experience in human resources, he brings a wealth of knowledge and a global perspective to his leadership role.
His extensive HR experience includes recruitment, talent development, performance management, and operations management. Having worked at global companies, Stephen offers a well-rounded perspective on developing talent and fostering a culture of performance and engagement.
One of Stephen’s favorite aspects of his career is the opportunity to travel domestically and internationally, connecting with diverse teams and collecting insights that inform innovative HR strategies. His goal in his current role is to enhance the HR function so that Shimizu is recognized as one of the best in the industry by driving continuous improvement and talent development.
Stephen earned his Master of Business Administration from Seton Hill University and is a member of the Society of Human Resources Management (SHRM). When not at work, he enjoys watching soccer and walking with his wife and their dogs on the Atlanta Beltline.
